Retro Coronavirus War Posters

Hey guys, I hope you enjoy these little retro-style coronavirus wartime posters I threw together, using vintage illustrations and ads I found.  I was trying to copy the vibes I saw in 1940s posters encouraging people to support the war efforts. They were really fun to make, and I like how they turned out.  I really love the mid-century style, and the posters from that era are such time capsules.

These are a little bit tongue-in-cheek, because it feels a little silly as an adult to be reminded to wash your hands five billion times a day.  But at the same time, I do know that these small measures are making a massive difference, just like stopping “loose lips”, buying war bonds, or “digging for victory” helped in WWII.  So I hope you’ll remember my little coronavirus “wartime” posters and remember you’re legit helping by remembering to do the basics.

Also, I learned while making these just how *into* toilet paper mid-century women were in TP ads… 😳  Granted… I’m starting to get it.

Stay safe and do your part!  :Salute:

<3 Much love,
Calise
